John Travolta has been the star of several films and a couple stage musicals embraced by our community. Some of his early stage work includes the multiple Tony nominated Broadway musical Over Here, where he made his debut, and the touring company of Grease. Travolta has also starred in the movies Carrie, Saturday Night Fever and of course, Grease. ... and who can forget his breakout television role as Welcome Back Kotters sexy Sweathog Vinnie Barbarino. His latest incarnation is Edna Turnblad in the box-office hit Hairspray.

Why we like him: He is a man secure in his masculinity that is not afraid to put on a dress (... & 80 pounds of “padding”) to play a woman.
