The summer heat has passed and now we move into cooler weather. With the cooler weather we can still enjoy the effects of nature before things get too chilly to spend time outside. This month we feature 25 (and a bonus or two)men we believe are "so cool they are hot!" These men are part of our celebratory theme that has become known as our "Men of Fall" (Thank you Erin for suggesting this theme). Most of the men featured in our cover story, including the four interview subjects are empathically, proudly and vocally open about being gay! Colton Ford is known mainly as a gay porn star who has starred in a number of hardcore porn films. What few people knew is that prior to his porn career, Ford was also a recording artist (Recording under the name of Glenn Street) and was responsible for providing the lead vocals for a couple Billboard dance singles. We are very pleased to be featuring Ford as one of our cover artists. Another of our cover artists is fan favorite Ari Gold who can lay claim to being the first openly-gay R&B vocalists (out of the closet from the start of his career). He is joining us to talk about his newest album, "Transport Systems". Another vocalist featured in this issue, is Tony award winner Michael Rupert. Rupert, who many gay men and women might recognize as Marvin from the gay-themed musical Falsettos, is currently starring on Broadway as "Callahan" in the hit musical "Legally Blonde." If you've been to any of the Folsom Street fairs in NYC or Dore Alley event in California you may have danced to music spun by another of our "Men of Fall" ... and our fourth interview subject. DJ Reed McGowan has recently released a dance single with a political theme, "American Idle." I am pleased to be able to count all of these men among my MySpace friends and one or two of them as a personal friend as well. Also with this issue, we launch the first installment of our new reader contributed feature ... "The Roving Reporter" "The Roving Reporter" is the readers chance to write about a gay event from their area. This one has been written by musician Tom Goss and describes a pride event local to his community ... the Chesapeake Pride Festival. Another column that has become a recent addition to our magazine is "Stargayzing with Debbie Longo" Longo, who lives here on Long Island, is a proud member of our community. She will be submitting the third installment of her astrology column soon. With our first issue, political insider David Mixner wrote a poignant reflection on the passing of activist Bob Hattoy. To mark the 10th anniversary of her passing, he turns his attention to another public figure and her legacy. That of Princess Diana who unwittingly became a symbol of compassion toward AIDS patients. I hope that you enjoy all these articles and the others found in this issue. For more contents, and to access the content, please look to the left of this column. Until next Time!
